Repairing a Plastered Ceiling in Manhattan

We think this one speaks for itself. But just because we like to brag, and it is difficult to repair plaster and lath, this job involved first removing the loose and cracked plaster, and then repairing, reinforcing, and replacing sections of the underlying lath. We applied our bonding agent for a good hold, then mixed and applied the plaster over the whole ceiling. Working with thin layers enabled us to build up a surface that blended into the surrounding areas seamlessly.

After ample drying time, we carefully sanded the entire surface, wiped it down to remove all dust, and primed and painted it. NOW we’ll let the results speak for themselves.
