What we do
Paint Works is a residential painting contractor working for homeowners and the interior designers they hire, across Manhattan and northern Brooklyn. Most of our work is in apartments and brownstones people are living in, which is a different job from painting an empty one.
Painting is the largest part of it, but rarely all of it. Walls need repair before they take colour, trim needs stripping before it takes a clean line, and cabinets need spraying rather than brushing. Pick the service closest to what you need and we will tell you honestly if it is the wrong one.

How We Work with Designers
As a designer, you need contractors who protect the relationship you have built with your client. We turn up when we said we would, we keep the site tidy, and we raise problems with you rather than with them.
Tell us what you envision for a space and we will tell you what it takes to get there, including when a finish will not behave the way the sample suggests. We can join early meetings, price options honestly, and recommend trades we have worked alongside for years.
